Jigsaw Puzzle Anyone?
Sunday morning dawns the beginning of a new week though darkness greets me as I rise since daylight savings time is in full swing. I don't really think of Sunday as the first day of the week but rather Monday. None the less, the calendar continually tells me otherwise. My thoughts are going back to the people I spent time with, the conversations shared, the places we met in this past week beginning on Monday going through Saturday night. From backyards, coffee shops, park benches, cafes, community centers, porches and shops to phone and computer connections from my breakfast nook, cozy living room, car, or grocery store aisle, every person brings such richness to my life. If you happen to be reading this and our paths crossed this past week, I am talking about you! I am picturing a jigsaw puzzle of the whole earth. With all the new ways of communicating, we are all connected like the pieces of that puzzle. My friends in Rwanda, India, Israel/Palestine, Nigeria, England, Papua New Guinea, Mexico, Chile, Switzerland, Norway...and those next door all fit together beautifully to complete the picture. If any one is missing, the puzzle is just not the same. Who likes putting together a jigsaw puzzle only to discover a piece is missing? I know I don't. It is very disappointing. As I begin a new week, I want to hold that puzzle picture in my mind. Without you, it is not complete. (these are my friends from the YWAM School of Reconciliation 2011 who represent 10 different nations)
