The Whistler is Back

The birds are singing, purple flowering mountain laurel is blooming while filling the air with its wonderful, sweet aroma and whistling drifts through the breeze. Two houses down from us, the Canadian snow birds are back. They rent out their home 9 months out of the year returning each Spring to enjoy the best of the seasons on Pennsylvania Boulevard. I always know Heinz and Marlene are back when I step outside and hear his whistling. I love it. His whistling tunes join with the varying songs of the birds and squirrels to fill the air in my neighborhood with sweetness. So delightful to sit on my porch or in the backyard to be serenaded by nature and Heinz. A dog barks here and there, a lawn is being mowed, even the sound of the trash can being rolled back from the edge of the driveway or a car door opening and closing, traffic and train whistles in the background fill in the blank spots on the canvas to paint a beautiful audio picture. I love my neighborhood so much.
