Started Thursday, August 22,2013. Finished Saturday 24th.

Clothes tumbling in the dryer, a babe asleep in the corner room, the front door wreath embelished with more "throw away" items found in various places, a morning complete with a wagon ride up and down the street including George the neighbor's cat. Trying to "live in the moment" as they say. Tis so sweet when accomplished.

School is starting on Monday for all the public school students. They have three days left of summer. Their households are much busier than mine today. And have been for days I'm sure. Running to the store for spaghetti sauce surprisingly missing from my pantry last evening found me caught up in a Meet the Teacher event at the local elementary school down the hill. Cars parked everywhere, even at the bank, children with backpacks and parents slowly walking across streets interrupted my quick plan. School zone speed limits and forbidden cell phone usage will begin soon. We are surrounded either way we exit or enter our neighborhood so change in mindset is needed. Watch out for school buses, remember what time the three different schools begin and end while being conscious of the fact that life has just changed for many people that cross my path.

A daughter and grandson who have been with us six months have three more days left before flying off to another state. Realizing I am one of those whose life will have just changed coinciding with the back to school crowd jolts me slightly. Quick on its heels come the thoughts of Fall on its way, a wedding being planned, a few days at the coast on the horizon. Life is full and never stagnant. Change is inevitable, challenges abound, beauty surrounds, gratitude is abundant.
